Kangen festival

On Sunday July 13th, Kangen festival will be held at the Itsukushima shrine. It is one of the most beautiful festivals in Miyajima and it has about 1000years of history. Please enjoy the beauty of the festival.

Miyajima yaki

We use Miyajima yaki tea cups at our inn. Miyajima yaki is called "osuna (sand) yaki" because it contains some sand from Miyajima in it. In old time, when people went on a trip, they brought some sand from Miyajima as a protection and when they returned, they made a ceramic using the sand and offered before kami to show their gratitude.
